National Geographic is on a mission to make science fun and accessible everywhere. For the premiere of its new groundbreaking series, “One Strange Rock,” special experiential astronaut helmets have been constructed to take guests on a trip to space right from the comfort of their own seat!
Join us on Saturday, April 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., when you’ll have the opportunity to see the universe through the eyes of an astronaut using a one-of-a-kind, immersive space projection helmet.
Housed in a replica space helmet, the projection technology creates an immersive viewing experience through a unique combination of laser projection, custom fish-eye optics and in-built audio. Unlike in-market VR headsets, the helmet offers an exceptionally wide field of view and is designed so the user can freely move their head inside of the dome to look around the landscape surrounding them—just as an astronaut would within their helmet.
