You’ll start your morning with a special meet-and-greet with an avian friend from our Batchelor Wildlife Center rehabilitation clinic—an American Bald Eagle! Learn unique biological facts about these majestic birds as well as conservation tips on how to ensure they continue to soar to stable populations.
Then, join us in the MeLaβ for a presentation that’s sure to spark your curiosity: the “Science of Fireworks!” You’ll discover the science behind colorful combustions before enjoying expanded offerings of our “Spark of Science” program and “A Tale of Toxicology” live show in the Power of Poison theater.

Looking for a savory snack to quell those mid-afternoon munchies? Our Food@Science café will be open until 7:30 p.m. If you need some caffeine to fuel you through the rest of your 4th, Coffee@Science will be serving up your favorite Starbucks beverages until 8:30 p.m.
After the museum closes, head out to Bayfront Park and view the largest FREE fireworks show in South Florida starting at 9:00 p.m. You can take the free Metromover from the Museum Park Station directly in front of the museum. For more information about the Bayfront Park festivities, click here.
